COVID-19 INCIDENTS
Active confirmed and suspected COVID-19 incidents related to Brentwood School District will be posted to this page. This data reflects only cases where classrooms/buildings are open for in-person instruction. No identifying information is shared on this dashboard, but a running total of current incidents is listed. Once the district learns of a COVID-19 incident the following steps will be followed:
- Isolate individuals if present
- Consult with St. Louis County Department of Public Health (DPH)
- Clean and treat any affected areas
- Contact trace within Brentwood School District determine close contacts
- Immediately notify anyone determined to have had close contact
- Advise of any required self-quarantine
- Follow any additional recommendations from St. Louis County DPH
Close Contact is defined as any individual who was within 6 feet of an infected person without a mask for at least 15 minutes starting from 2 days before illness onset (or, for asymptomatic patients, 2 days prior to positive specimen collection) until the time the patient is isolated.
Non-Close Contact Outside of 6 feet for a brief period of time. A non-close contact would have no known exposure.
Definitions
Isolated - Individual has symptoms of COVID-19 or is asymptomatic and has a confirmed positive case of COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2). Isolation separates people with a contagious disease from those who are not sick.
Quarantined - Individual who might have been exposed to COVID-19 or who have recently had close contact with someone with a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19. Quarantine separates and restricts the movement of people who may have been exposed to a contagious to see if they become sick.
School Exposure - Potential exposure was contact traced through someone in the school building.
Non-School Exposure - Potential exposure occurred outside of school and the district was notified of quarantine.
Positive - Individual has tested positive for COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2)
