Filing for three seats on the Brentwood School District Board of Education opens Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022 at 8 a.m. and closes Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2022 at 5 p.m. Interested Brentwood residents who are United States citizens, 24 years of age or older and have resided in Missouri one year preceding the election are eligible for candidacy.
Candidates may file in person at the Brentwood School District Administrative Office (1201 Hanley Industrial Ct.) during the district’s regular business hours, which are Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Candidates may file by certified mail if they are unable to file in person due to physical disability or are members of the U.S. Armed Forces on active duty.
With the exception of Tuesday, Dec. 6 and Tuesday, Dec. 27, filing will not occur on the days when the district is closed for inclement weather, winter break or health-related reasons. Please see the dates and times below for a complete list of candidate filing availability.
- Tuesday, Dec. 6; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (First Day to File)
- Wednesday-Friday, Dec. 7-9; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Monday-Friday, Dec. 12-16; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Monday-Wednesday, Dec. 19-21; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Thursday, Dec. 22; 8-11:30 a.m.
- Closed Friday, Dec. 23 (Winter Break)
- Closed Monday, Dec. 26 (Winter Break)
- Tuesday, Dec. 27; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Last Day to File)
The ballot order of candidates will be determined by filing order. Candidates must observe any infectious disease procedures in effect at the time of filing.
Under provisions of Missouri Statute Section 115.124, if the number of candidates who file is equal to the number of positions to be filled by the election, no election will be held. However, if the number of candidates filing exceeds the number of positions at any time, the election will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2023.
