Brentwood School District custodian Charles Vaughn is this month’s Brentwood Eagles Staff Spotlight. Vaughn has more than 30 years of experience in facilities maintenance at some of the St. Louis metro area’s most well-known locations, including Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital and The Dome at America’s Center.
Vaughn is known for his attention to detail. He takes great pride in creating a clean, welcoming environment for all students and staff, and is happy to share his wealth of knowledge and time-saving techniques with his younger colleagues. From cleaning classrooms to stocking supplies, Vaughn believes in maximizing efficiency without sacrificing quality, all while having fun.
“Charles has only been with us for six months, but his experience and enthusiasm have made an immediate impact on our team,” said custodial manager Danielle Nolan. “His hard work behind the scenes helps make every school day a success. That’s why we call him our Superman.”
When he is not working, Vaughn enjoys cooking, traveling and watching classic western movies, as well as spending time with his 5-year-old grandson.
