The St. Louis Post-Dispatch has released its list of 2022 Scholar-Athletes, and Brentwood High School senior Zach Bredeson was among the student-athletes honored by the publication.

A football and wrestling standout, Bredeson boasts a 3.89 cumulative grade-point average and ranks in the top 25% of his graduating class. He is a National Honor Society officer and member of the school’s honor roll.

On the wrestling mat, Bredeson was a team captain, district champion and two-time state qualifier. He also earned first-team all-conference honors and was a two-year team captain for the football team.

Bredeson will attend Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Ill. and plans to major in aviation.

Each year, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Scholar-Athlete program honors one senior from every participating school in the publication’s immediate coverage area. Student-athletes are selected by administrators from each school.
