Board Meetings
The Brentwood School District Board of Education meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month, with special meetings and workshops scheduled as needed. Meetings take place at 7 p.m. in the Brentwood High School Lecture Hall (2221 High School Dr.) unless otherwise noted.
Board meetings are open to the public, and district residents are encouraged to attend. Meetings are also livestreamed and archived on the district's YouTube channel.
The board uses Simbli to provide public access to meeting agendas, minutes and supporting documents. Through Simbli, community members can view upcoming meeting details, review past board discussions and stay informed about district governance. Meeting materials are posted in advance to ensure transparency and accessibility.
Executive Sessions
Executive sessions, which are closed to the public in accordance with Missouri Sunshine Law, are held as needed for specific student, personnel, property and legal matters.
The topics discussed in executive sessions, as well as the legal provisions allowing for closed meetings, are outlined in Policy BDC - Closed Meetings, Records and Votes. These sessions follow Missouri law (RSMo 610.021), which defines the circumstances under which certain matters may be discussed privately.
