About Your Board of Education
As elected representatives of the residents of the Brentwood School District, the seven-member Board of Education serves as the governing body for the community's public school system. The school board sets district policies, selects and evaluates the superintendent of schools, adopts the annual budget, and determines the annual tax rates.
Board members serve three-year overlapping terms with two or three members elected each year. These individuals, who receive no salary, are committed and engaged citizens who devote countless hours working on behalf of students and the educational interests of the Brentwood community.
The Brentwood Board of Education uses Simbli board management software to conduct paperless meetings. Simbli streamlines board operations by facilitating agenda management, strategic planning, policy oversight, board evaluations, document organization and communication.
