The Brentwood School District's redesigned website has earned an Award of Excellence from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA), recognizing the district's commitment to providing families, students and community members with a high-quality, accessible online experience.

The Award of Excellence is NSPRA's highest level of recognition in its annual Publications and Digital Media Excellence Awards program, which honors outstanding communications work by school districts and education organizations across the United States and Canada.

The recognition comes just five months after Brentwood launched its redesigned district and school websites in January 2026. The project was guided by the district's commitment to providing clear, accessible and timely information to families while better showcasing the academic programs, extracurricular opportunities and student successes that define the Brentwood experience.

“Our website is often the first place families and community members go for information about our schools,” said Dr. Amy Zielinski, superintendent of schools. “This recognition reflects the collaborative effort that went into creating a resource that is accessible, informative and representative of the outstanding work happening across our district. We are grateful to everyone who helped shape the redesign and proud to see that work recognized at the national level.”

Led by the district's communications department, the website redesign was developed through a yearlong collaborative process that included administrative leaders, teachers, staff members, students, parents, community members and two Board of Education advisory committees. Those stakeholders helped guide decisions about website structure, content and functionality to ensure the site met the needs of the Brentwood community.

The redesigned website was intentionally built to balance two important priorities: providing easy access to the information families use every day and highlighting the programs, services and experiences that make Brentwood schools unique. The site features streamlined navigation, updated content, improved accessibility features and a fully responsive design that adapts to phones, tablets and other devices.

The website and its content were developed with accessibility in mind and aligned with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines to help ensure all members of the community can access and understand district information. The site will continue to evolve as district programs, services and resources grow.
