Mark Twain and McGrath Crown Spelling Bee Champions

Mark Twain and McGrath elementary schools recently held their annual spelling bee competitions, highlighting the impressive vocabulary, focus and perseverance of their students.

At Mark Twain, fourth grader Ivan B. earned this year's spelling bee title after a competitive afternoon of careful listening and confident spelling. His strong performance secured the championship among a talented field of participants.

At McGrath, third grader Luke C. demonstrated poise and determination to claim the school's spelling bee championship, showcasing outstanding language skills throughout the competition.

"Our annual spelling bees provide a meaningful opportunity for students to build confidence, expand their vocabulary and celebrate academic achievement," said Stacey Taylor, English language arts curriculum coordinator. "It's inspiring to see our students rise to the challenge and take pride in their learning."
