Alternative Methods of Instruction

The Brentwood School District has been approved for Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. AMI allows districts to provide alternative instruction in lieu of a traditional school day if circumstances require it.

AMI learning may include a review of previous learning or new learning opportunities through either live or independent instruction using district-provided devices. Students in grades K-12 will follow the sample schedules below and use Canvas to access their classes, assignments and activities. Preschool families will receive activities for their students via email.

Families will be notified by the district when AMI learning will be provided. Schools and teachers will send follow-up communication with specific virtual learning instructions for students and families.
