Brentwood Early Childhood Education

The Brentwood Early Childhood Center is the district's hub for early childhood education, offering both Parents as Teachers (PAT) and a tuition-based preschool program for children ages 2-5. PAT is a free program available to families in Missouri with children from birth to kindergarten entry. The program is built on a simple but powerful idea: parents are a child's first and most influential teachers.

From the very beginning, the everyday interactions between parents and children shape brain development, learning and future success in school and life. Our PAT program is designed to partner with families, offering tools, resources and encouragement to help children thrive.

In our preschool classrooms, certified early childhood educators guide hands-on, play-based learning through the Project Construct curriculum, which fosters curiosity, creativity and problem-solving while aligning with the Missouri Early Learning Standards. Our classrooms extend outdoors as well, giving children opportunities to connect with nature and explore the world around them.

For more information, please visit the Brentwood Early Childhood Center website or contact Beth Clay, director of early childhood education, at bclay@brentwoodmoschools.org or 314-262-8521.
