Exceptionally Gifted Students

The St. Louis Regional Program for Exceptionally Gifted Students (PEGS) provides highly specialized learning opportunities for students whose academic and intellectual needs significantly exceed the level of traditional gifted services. Designed for approximately 1% of gifted learners, PEGS offers Tier 3 support through an accelerated, fast-paced curriculum and learning environment that challenges students to think critically, creatively and independently.

Exceptionally gifted students benefit from instruction that moves at a rapid pace, engages their curiosity and allows them to explore complex concepts in depth. They also thrive when surrounded by intellectual peers who share similar abilities and interests. PEGS offers these students an appropriately rigorous educational experience that supports their academic growth, creative problem-solving and social-emotional development.

The regional PEGS program is housed at three Lindbergh Schools campuses. Brentwood collaborates with Lindbergh to ensure students who meet the criteria for exceptional giftedness have access to this advanced level of learning support.
