Families are essential partners in every student's educational journey. The Brentwood School District and the Special School District (SSD) work together to ensure students receive both a high-quality educational experience and the individualized supports they need to succeed.
While we work as one team, Brentwood and SSD have different responsibilities. Understanding who to contact can help you get answers more quickly and connect with the right resources.
Family Resources
SSD offers a variety of programs, workshops and resources to support students and families throughout the year, including:
- Family Toolkit — Resources and information for families who are new to or continuing in special education services.
- Family and Community Engagement (FACE) — Workshops, events and learning opportunities for families.
- Partner District Contacts — Contact information for SSD staff serving the Brentwood School District.
- Parent Advisory Council (PAC) — Opportunities for families to collaborate with SSD and help improve services for students.
We encourage families to explore these resources and visit both the Brentwood and SSD websites regularly for updates, events and additional support.
